Dan Florin to Receive Honorary Degree from Holy Cross College

Catholic Charities is delighted to share that our Chief Executive Officer, Dan Florin, has been selected to receive an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Holy Cross College during its 58th Commencement Ceremony on May 17, 2025.

This distinguished honor recognizes Florin’s steadfast commitment to faith, family, and service. As CEO of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Florin oversees more than 20 programs supporting stability, counseling, pro-life and migration services. His leadership reflects the values of hope, humility, knowledge, and servant leadership that are at the heart of both Catholic Charities and Holy Cross College’s mission.

Holy Cross College annually honors individuals whose lives exemplify virtue, vocation, and Christian discipleship. Florin’s dedication to the Church, his impactful work in business and service, and his unwavering focus on the common good make him an inspiring role model for our community.

The Commencement Ceremony will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, at Holy Cross College.
